Amazon error code 1060 is a very common error that occurs because your device is unable to reach out to the Amazon server.

It’s a network connectivity-related issue that can be easily fixed, but there could be different reasons for the issue, so it’s not possible to tell exactly what is causing the error.

The error shows you the following error,

“Ensure that your device is connected to the internet and then retry. If the connection works, but you still see this message, restart the app or contact Amazon Customer service. Error Code: 1060”


Fixes For Amazon Error Code 1060


1. Retry

Just tap the retry button before going deep into the troubleshooting methods. Try to retry a few times; if still the error occurs, then try the other solutions given in this post.

2. Check Your Internet Connectivity

Connect your smartphone or laptop with the internet, and check if the internet is working fine.

3. Check Your Internet Speed

If your internet is working fine, then the next thing you should test your internet speed because Prime Video requires a minimum bandwidth limit to stream the videos.

  • Connect your phone or laptop with the internet
  • Close down all the other tabs
  • Visit Speedtest
  • Tap go, and wait for the result

Note: Make sure your download bandwidth is not lower than 4 Mbps; if it is, then please contact your internet provider.

4. Switch to Ethernet (Cabled) Network

If the internet speed is good, then switch to the Ethernet (Cabled) Network instead of WIFi to check if there is an issue with the wifi network.

5. Restart Your Router

If even after Switching to Ethernet (Cabled) Network, Prime video is showing the same error, then try restarting your Router.

  • Tap the power button to off
  • Unplug the power cord
  • Wait for around one minute
  • Plug the power cord
  • Tap the power button on

6. Reset Your Router

Still, getting the issue? Try resetting your Router.

  • Carry a sharp object
  • Press and hold the reset button on the Router for 10 seconds (You can see the rest button on the back of the Router)

7. Power Off & On Your Streaming Device

If you are accessing your Prime Video on smart tv or any streaming device like Roku, Firestick, etc., then try Power Off & On Your Streaming Device.

  • Power of your streaming device
  • Unplug the power cord
  • Wait for around one minute
  • Plug the power cord
  • Power on from the remote

8. Disable Proxy Or VPN

In case if you are using proxy or VPN on your device, then please consider disabling it.

8. Contact Amazon Support

Try to run prime video over the different internet network.

If it’s working fine, then it means there are some issues with your ISP (Internet Service Provider), so contact them and report the issue.

If Prime Video is not working on other internet networks too, then report the issue to the Prime Video help.

9. Contact Your Internet Provider

As I said, if the Prime Video is working fine on the other internet, so the issue is with your Internet Provider, so contact them and report the issue.
