Amazon Music Playback Error Code 180

Amazon Music Playback Error 180 mainly occurs while listening to music offline but in some cases, this error can also occur while online listening. And it can happen with entire downloaded music or with any specific song or album.

This issue is not yet officially addressed by Amazon but the error has been discussed multiple times in the Amazon Forum.

Below in this post, we are going to share whatever we have found about this error.

How To Fix Amazon Music Playback Error 180?

Fix 1: Digital License Might Has Expired

The most common reason behind the error is Digital License getting expired on Prime Music. This can cause an error while listening to the music offline.

So try connecting your device to the internet and then use Prime Music. Performing this action will automatically renew the Digital License.

Fix 2: Clear The Amazon Music App Cache

For Android

  • Close the Amazon Music app.
  • Tap and hold on to the Amazon Music App icon.
  • Tap App Info.
  • Tap Storage & Data.
  • Now clear Amazon Music Cache.
  • Now check if you still have the error.

Fix 3: Check If You Need To Redownload The Song

If you are getting this error with any specific song or album while listening offline then this might mean that you need to redownload the song or album.

We don’t yet know why this happens but some users have mentioned in the Amazon forum that when they checked the song in the Amazon library they found the little plus sign next to the song or album which means that they need to redownload the song in order to listen offline.

So we will suggest that you to do the same. Connect your phone to the internet and then go to the Amazon library and check if you need to redownload the song or album.

Fix 4: Remove The Song And Re-download

If the error still continues then try removing the song from your device and then re-download it.

After that check, if the error is gone or not. If this solves the error then you need to remove and redownload all the songs which are showing the error.

We know this can be lengthy if you are having the error with all of your downloaded songs. But this is what needed to be done.

Fix 5: Try A Fresh Reinstall

If the error still doesn’t get resolved then try uninstalling the app. After that restart the device and then reinstall the Amazon music app to check if it fixes the error or not.

Fix 6: Contact Support

If the fresh install of the app also doesn’t resolve the error then you need to contact Amazon support.

Please keep in mind to select the phone/call-me or chat option while connecting to Amazon support for better assistance.
