Barclays Error Code 9872

Error code 9872 occurs with Barclays while making any transfers, and some users have reported that Barclays also shows “no payees are added.”

You can see the screenshot given below where one user has reported the same issue in 2020 to Barclays.

If you are also having this error then in this post we are going to provide possible workarounds to get rid of this error.

How To Fix Barclays Error Code 9872?

Fix 1: Check Issues With the Browser

Simply go to your browser settings, and clear the browser cache & cookies. And once the cache & cookies are clear, restart the browser, and then check if the error still continues.

If the error still continues then try using any alternate browser.

Also, make sure that your browser is up to date with the latest firmware.

Fix 2: Check Issues With Mobile App & Your Device

  • Quit the Barclays app and restart your device.
  • If the above suggestions don’t help then try clearing the Barclays app cache on your smartphone. You can do this by following: press and holding on to the app icon > app info > storage > clear cache.
  • If the error still doesn’t resolve then check if you are using the least version of the Barclays mobile app or not.

Fix 3: Other Workarounds

If you still have the error then make sure that your device is connected to the internet, and your internet is working perfectly.

If your internet is working but the error is still appearing then check Barclays system status. If their service is down then wait for some time and try again.

Fix 4: Contact Barclays

If no workaround is helping you and the error stays intact then get in touch with Barclays.

You can contact them on Twitter or you can also visit their website to find other ways to contact them.
