When someone sends you a voicemail, they get back the “voicemail greeting,” which ensures that their Voicemail is successfully sent and reached the right person. But your phone will send the default greeting until you change it with your own custom greeting.
So if you want to change your iPhone voicemail greeting, then I am going to tell you how to do this.
To change the voicemail greeting on iPhone, open the Phone app -> click Voicemail -> tap greeting -> choose custom -> tap Record to record your own voicemail greeting -> once your greeting is finished, tap Stop.

How to Change Voicemail Greeting on iPhone
Note: These steps to change your iPhone greeting works on all IOS versions such as IOS 15, IOS 14, IOS 13, IOS 12 & earlier.
- Open the Phone app.
- Click Voicemail.
- Tap Greeting.
- Choose Custom.
- Tap Record to record your own voicemail greeting.
- Once your greeting is finished, Tap Stop.
- Now you can tap “Play” to listen to your recorded greeting.
- If you are happy with your recorded greeting, then tap Save, or you can record new by pressing the record button.
