How To Delete the Pinterest account?
Method 1: By Using PC web Browser
- Click on this link to navigate to the Pinterest website
- Log in to your account
- You will be able to see the Account icon and right next to it is an arrow. Click on the arrow.
- A dropdown menu appears. On the menu, select Settings
- Choose the Account settings tab to reveal the Account Changes option
- Find the option labeled Delete your Account
- On the list of options for why you are deleting your account, choose one and click on Next.
- Click on Send Email
- On your registered email, you will see a mail that is the last confirmation for account deletion. It reads Last Security Check to Delete your Account.
- On the email, click on Yes, Delete Account
- In the next 14 days, your account will be permanently deleted with all the data associated.
Method 2: By Using Their Mobile App
The process for deleting the account is the same on both iPhone and Android interfaces. Follow the steps listed to Delete the account using the Pinterest mobile app.
- Launch the app and log in if you are not already logged in.
- In the lower right corner of the page, you will see an account icon. Click on it.
- A new screen appears and on the top right corner, you can see a (…) option. Click on it.
- Click on Settings.
- Once the Settings page opens, choose Account Settings in the various options listed.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see a manage account option on the iOS and the Account Changes section in case you are using Android. Click on that.
- Choose the option of Delete Your Account.
- Select a reason for deleting your account and click Next.
- Click on Send Email.
- On your registered email id, you will receive a mail named Last Security Check to Delete your Account.
- Navigate to the bottom of the email and click on Yes, delete Account.
- The account will be deleted in the next 14 days.
How to temporarily Disable Pinterest account?
The option to deactivate the account follows almost the same process as deleting the account. If you wish to restore your account at some point in the future, you can choose to temporarily disable your account instead of deleting it.
Method 1: By Using PC Web Browser
- Visit the link to go to the Pinterest website.
- Log in to the account and click on the profile icon on the top right corner
- A drop-down menu appears. Click on Settings
- Click Account settings and scroll to the bottom of the screen to see Account changes
- Click on Deactivate Account
- Your account will be deactivated.
Method 2: By Using Their Mobile App
- Launch the Pinterest app and log in
- In the bottom right corner, you will see the account icon. Click on that
- You will see a (…) button on the top right. Click on it and click Settings
- On the Settings page, tap on Account Settings
- On iOS, you will see the Manage Account tab while on Android, you will see the Account changes tab. Click on that
- Click on Deactivate Account
- Your Account will be deactivated.
You can log in to your account anytime you want to revive the temporarily deactivated account.
