Fix 1: Clear Foxtel app cache

Clearing your Foxtel app cache has been said to be one of the most effective solutions out there in solving the following error, if it is something caused as a result of a corrupted cache file stored within the app itself.

Clearing up your app cache is rather very simple and can be done for either your Android or iOS devices as shown below:

Steps to clear app cache for Android

  • Go to the Settings menu page, by either clicking on the Settings app or the gear icon.
  • Then, click on the Apps option on the Settings page and tap on the Foxtel app from the list of apps listed on the next page.
  • Next, on the App info page, click on the Storage & cache option and click on the clear cache option on the next page.
  • Once your app cache has been cleared. Launch the Foxtel app, login into your account and check if the error still persists.

Steps to clear app cache for iOS

  • Go to your iPhone’s Settings page from your home screen and scroll down to find the Foxtel app.
  • Click on the app and toggle on the option for reset cache on next start option.
  • Launch the app, login to your account and see if the error still remains.

Fix 2: Update the Foxtel App

There may be times when the reason why you may be seeing the following error might be as a result of an outdated Foxtel app installed on your system.

If that is the case, then simply updating such an app would be all that is needed to get rid of the error message from showing up again and again.

So, depending on whichever platform you are using such as an Android OS or an iOS device. You can either go to Google’s Play Store or Apple’s App Store respectively and search for the Foxtel app there.

From the results, click on the Foxtel app option and see if the Update button is available. If any updates are available for the Foxtel app, then the update button should be green or available. Simply, tap on it and wait till the app gets updated.

Once updated, launch the Foxtel app and check whether the error has been resolved or not.

Fix 3: Update Your Device OS

Just like updating the app might help solve the issue. Similarly, even updating your OS can be helpful in solving the error message, if the error is something caused as a result of compatibility issues within the app and your device OS.

Now since, the steps to updating an OS might differ from one type of OS to the other. I have decided to just list two of the most popular OS out there that you might be using as well as links to guides on how to update them.

Fix 4: Uninstall and Reinstall the Foxtel app

If you do not want to waste time in clearing up your app cache or updating the Foxtel app. Then, to cut short and directly take care of any corrupted cache files or bugs within the app. You can directly try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it back onto your device.

This way you can skip with the first two methods and directly get them both done with this single step.

Simply, uninstall the Foxtel app from your respective devices. And then, just like how you had done initially, install the app back onto your device from your respective app stores.

Once the app has been installed. Launch the app, login into your account and check whether the error occurs.

If none of the above mentioned fixes work for you. Then, as a last resort you can try directly contacting Foxtel’s official help desk and discuss the error with them to come up with a solution that works for you.
