Ever since its final release, the Hunt Showdown game saw a huge flow of traffic from users who were desperately waiting for the game to release all this while, resulting in many errors and bugs to show up.

Among all this, one such error which was very common among the rest was the Hunt Showdown Error 0x30001. And since you have already landed up here, my guess is that you must have come across the error by now and are looking for ways to fix it.

Good news for you is that you have come to the right place. Here we will discuss all the most commonly used fixes out there with the help of which many users have solved the issue for themselves and on their own.

Ways to fix Hunt Showdown Error 0x30001

Given that the particular error mainly occurs when there is a rush in traffic, the problem could be assumed to have originated primarily from the game server itself.

Hence, most of the solutions we will be looking at today, will primarily be revolving around fixes related to the Hunt Showdown game servers.

Fix 1: Try reconnecting to the game servers

One of the easiest and very first approaches you should give a go is to try and reconnect to the game servers.

What happens here is that when some user goes offline, the slot becomes available for the next person to connect to the game servers at that instant of time. During that duration of time, when players go offline, if there is a spot available, then you should be able to connect to the game server and the error should be resolved on its own.

Fix 2: Try verifying the Integrity of your game files on Steam

At times, the game files installed on your device and the files on a Steam server may not correspond or may be out of sync with each other.

If that is the case and reason for the particular to occur. Then, verifying the integrity of the game files on your Steam account may work to solve the issue.

To verify the integrity of the Hunt Showdown game, you can follow the steps as shown below:

  • Firstly, launch the Steam client on your PC and head to the Library section.
  • Under the Library section, find and double-click on the Hunt Showdown game logo.
  • Then, from the drop down list, go to the bottom and click on the Properties option.
  • From the next prompted window, choose and select on the Local Files option on the left pane. And then, click on the Verify integrity of game files… on the right pane of the window to start the verification process.

Once the verification process is completed, restart your system and see if reconnecting to the game gives the same error or not.

Fix 3: Allow the game as exception in Firewall

Whether you are using Windows’ Default Firewall or some third party Antivirus firewall. There may be times, not having a game as an exception may result in the game giving rise to such errors.

If that is the case, then having the game added to the list of exceptions under your Firewall exception list may be the best solution to solve the particular issue.

Now, here the steps to go on doing so may differ from one Antivirus service to the other. Hence, it is advised that depending on what Antivirus or Firewall service you may be using on your system, that you look for the steps to do so accordingly.

However, since most of you may by default be using the Windows Firewall. Below, I have mentioned down the steps with the help of which you can Allow the Hunt Showdown exception on your respective systems.

  • Firstly, go to your Windows’ Search Bar and type in Firewall and Network Protection and click on the app as shown below.
  • Then, once the Firewall and network protection window opens up, click on the Allow an app through firewall option.
  • Next, from the list of apps, find and tick mark the Hunt Showdown game and click on the OK button to save your changes.
  • If for some reason, the app is not listed on the list of Allowed apps and features. Then, click on the Allow another app… and browse your way to the location of the Hunt Showdown game app.

NOTE: You can also try disabling the Antivirus or Firewall app overall, to check and see if doing so helps temporarily avoid the error message on your respective systems.

Fix 4: Connect through an Ethernet or LAN connection

Many users have reported that they had faced a similar issue when trying to connect to the game server through a Wi-Fi network. And just shifting to a LAN or Ethernet network while connecting to the Hunt Showdown game server, allowed them to connect to the game servers without having to deal with the following 0x30001 Error Code.

Hence, if you have a provision of Ethernet connection, available in front of you. Then, you should definitely try connecting to the game servers through it and see if doing so helps you get rid of the error.

Fix 5: Uninstall and Reinstall the game

You can also try uninstalling the game completely off your PC, and then try reinstalling it back to see if doing so helps you resolve the issue.

Although, this should not be the case. But, many users have been seen reporting that after a thorough uninstallation and reinstallation for the particular game. They were able to connect to the game server, much easily without having to face the error message on their respective machines.
