Fixes For Microsoft Teams Error Code 80284001

Fix 1: Are You Using The Latest Version Of The Microsoft Teams?

First thing you need to make sure if you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams or not. If you need to install any updates for Microsoft Teams then consider installing them and then check for the error.

Fix 2: Perform A Clear Boot And Restart Your PC

If you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams but the error is still coming then perform a clean boot for your PC. As per our research, the best workaround for the error is to perform a clean boot on your PC.

If you don’t know then performing a “clean boot” initiates Windows with a minimal selection of drivers and startup programs, facilitating the identification of any background programs that may be hindering your game or program. A clean boot is similar to initiating Windows in Safe Mode, but offers greater control over the services and programs that run during startup, enabling you to pinpoint the root cause of the issue.

Note: To find the steps to perform a clean boot on Windows 8.1 or 10, or if you need to know more about the clean Boot you can refer to this official guide.

Here is how to perform a clean boot on Windows 11

  • First, you need to sign in to the computer as an administrator.
  • Then go to the Search.
  • Then search for msconfig and from the result choose the System Configuration.
  • Then go to the Service Tab.
  • Then choose Hide all Microsoft services.
  • Then choose Disable All.
  • Then choose Apply.
  • Then go to the Startup Tab.
  • Then choose Open Task Manager.
  • Then under the Task Manager’s Startup tab, disable each enabled startup item by selecting the item and choosing the Disable option. It is important to keep a record of the disabled items for future reference. You will require this information later on.
  • Then close the task manager.
  • Then from the Startup tab under the System Configuration, select OK.
  • Then restarts your PC.
  • Once your PC will restart it will be in a clean boot environment.

In that case, you should power cycle your PC. Power cycling the PC is a little different from normal restarting the PC. To power cycle your PC follow the steps given below.
