You may have come across the error code 502-836982 with the Mistplay, as so many users have reported this error in the last few days.
The error comes like this, “Error: Oops. There appears to be an error with our games service. Error Code: 502-836982”.
As of now, there is no official information on this error but there are a few workarounds shared by the users who were able to fix the error themselves.
How To Fix Mistplay error code 502-836982?
Fix 1: Force Stop And Then Clear The Cache
- Press and hold on to the Mistplay app icon.
- Tap App Info.
- Tap Force Stop.
- Then choose Storage & Cache, or something like this.
- Then clear the Cache and data one by one.
- Then Relaunch the Mistplay app, and check if you can use it without the error or not.
Fix 2: Check If Mistplay Is Set To Sleep
If the error continues then you need to reset the app preference and then go to the apps menu to check if Mistplay is disabled.
If it’s disabled in the app menu then it may mean that for some reason Mistplay is set to sleep in your battery settings.
Fix 3: Check If The Game Has Required Permissions
- Press and hold on to the Mistplay app icon.
- Tap App Info.
- Now check and make sure “Display over the other apps” is allowed. In some phones, you may see this option like “allow to write over other apps”.
Fix 4: It May Be The Server
If the error continues then it may mean that the Mistplay server is having some kind of issue and you need to wait for some time, and then try again.

If there is any ongoing server maintenance/issue then the Mistplay team will update it on their Twitter.
But in case the error continues for so long without any update about the server maintenance/issue then you can report the error to game support.
