Now, whenever you see the following error flashing on your screen. It can be said that it is usually caused by either a server issue at the server side or a connectivity issue at the client end itself.

No matter what the cause may be. The solutions to solving them are pretty much general and can be applied for almost all the causes, unless it is a hardware malfunction which can only be solved by a professional technician.

Below, I have listed all the possible solutions out there with the help of which you should be able to fix the problem, pretty much on your own and in no time.

How to fix Playstation error ce-33992-6?

Fix 1: Check PlayStation Server Status

As mentioned above, if the error is caused due to a server issue at Playstation’s server end. Then, there is actually nothing much you can actually do to solve the issue.

This is actually the first step you should follow to troubleshoot the error to be sure that the problem is something at your end and not one at the server end.

All you need to do for this step is to go to the following link, and check for the server status.

If everything is up and running, then you can be sure that there is something wrong with your home network itself, and can follow the fixes as further listed below to solve the issue with your home network.

However, if the status of the server is down. Then, it is best to just wait it out for it to get resolved at the server end itself.

Fix 2: Check your Internet Connection

If there is no problem on the server side. Then, there is a higher chance that the error is being caused by an issue with the internet connection.

And if that is the case, then checking and fixing your home network should help you fix the issue.

For this, you can start by checking your wire connections to and from your routers for any damage or tearing. Check for any loose connections or damages.

It is also a good idea to check the speed of your internet connectivity. A connection speed of 5 mbps or more is said to be ideal, as lower speeds can also be responsible for such an error to occur.

Fix 3: Restart your network devices

You can also try restarting or rebooting your network devices by doing a power cycle, that involves switching off all your devices and plugging them off the main supply for a few minutes, before plugging them in and switching them on.

Fix 4: Switch to a Wired connection

For those of you having a wired internet connection facility as well. You can try switching to it to check whether the issue is arising with a wireless network or it is the same for a wired connection as well.

And if the issue is same for both types of connection. Then, you can directly try contacting your ISP provider to take up the problem with them and ask them to solve the issue, as there might be an issue from their end and not within your home network.

Fix 5: Check your email for verification

In some cases, if you have yet to verify your account or have forgotten to verify your account. Then, such an error might come up as well.

In such cases, head to the email account which you had used to register to your PSP account and complete the verification process. Once that is done, restart your game console and see if doing so helped get rid of the error message.

Fix 6: Manually Update your PS system software

Sometimes, an outdated firmware can also lead to such an error to come up.

And if your error indeed has occurred due to having an outdated PS system software. Then, having it updated at the earliest may seem like the best option for you.

Depending on whatever version of Playstation console you are using. You can follow the steps to update your PS firmware for the respective consoles by heading to the following links:
