If you are trying to get a screenshot on your Google Pixel phone, then in this post, I am going to tell you how you can take the screenshot in your Google Pixel smartphone.

Screenshot methods in Google Pixels differ as per your Google Pixel model, and your Android version. Like if your Google Pixel has Android 11 & later, then you can simply press the power & volume down button together to capture the screenshot. But If your Google Pixel has Android 10 or 9.0 Pie, then you have to press and hold the power button, which will show you three options, “Power off, Restart, and Screenshot.” Simply tap on the Screenshot option to take the screenshot.

How To Take Screenshot On Google Pixel With Android 11 & Later?

Method 1: Press Power Button & Volume Down Button Together

  • Go to the screen which you want to capture
  • Take your fingers to the power button and volume down button
  • Press the power button and volume down button at the same time
  • You will hear the shutter sound with the small preview of your screenshot.
  • If in case you want to edit or share the screenshot, then tap on the preview of the screenshot. otherwise, leave the preview, and it will automatically store in your photos

Method 2: Screenshot With Gesture Navigation

  • Swipe up and hold from the bottom of the screen
  • Choose the app which you want to screenshot
  • Tap the small phone icon (Screenshot Icon)
  • You will hear the shutter sound with the small preview of your screenshot
  • If in case you want to edit or share the screenshot, then tap on the preview of the screenshot. otherwise, leave the preview, it will automatically store in your photos

Method 2: Screenshot With 3-Button Navigation

  • Tap on the Overview button from the bottom right corner of the screen
  • Select the app which you want to screenshot
  • Tap the small phone icon (Screenshot Icon)

  • If in case you want to edit or share the screenshot, then tap on the preview of the screenshot. otherwise, leave the preview, it will automatically store to your photos

How To Take Screenshot On Google Pixel With Android 10 10 and 9.0 Pie (3a, 3a XL & Earlier)?

  • Go to the screen which you want to capture
  • Press & hold the power button, which shows you three options: Power off, Restart, and Screenshot.

How To Take Screenshot On Google Pixel With Google Assistant (For All Pixel Phones)?

  • Google Pixel phones come with the Google Assistant, but you can also download them from the play store. 
  • Go to the screen which you want to capture
  • Command “OK Google” “Capture A Screenshot”
  • You can hear the shutter sound with a small previous of your screenshot with the option to share or save the image.
  • You have to choose from share or, upload to Google Photos or Google Drive. If in case you don’t choose between share or save, your screenshot will get instantly deleted, instead of getting stored in your phone gallery.

How To View Your Captured Screenshot?

Go to your Google Photos or gallery, and look for the folder with the name of the screenshot. Because Pixel is a Google brand, all your pictures are automatically synced to your Google account unless you disable it. So you can access your screenshots on any device which is using the same google account.

  • Go to your phone settings
  • Scroll down and tap on “System”
  • Tap “Advanced”
  • Tap “System update”
  • Here you can see your Android version
