There are multiple ways to screenshot your Samsung Note smartphone, in all those methods the simplest method to screenshot is pressing the volume down and power button at the same time. You can also enable the “Palm swipe to capture” to screenshot simply by swiping your palm from left to right, or right to left.

Note: These methods to take a screenshot are applicable on all Samsung note series phones, including Galaxy Note 20, note 20 ultra, galaxy note 5, galaxy note edge.

How To Screenshot On Samsung Note Series Phones?

Method 1: Press Volume Down & Power Button Together

  • Go to the screen which you want to screenshot.
  • Take your finger to the volume down & power button.
  • Press the Volume down & power buttons together, and release them quickly.
  • If you do this correctly, you will hear the shutter sound with a small preview of the screenshot on the screen.
  • You can leave the screenshot preview so it will automatically get saved to your phone, or you can tap on the preview to edit or share the screenshot. 

Method 2: Enable “Swipe Your Palm To Capture” 

First, you have to make sure that this feature is enabled on your phone.

  • Go to the settings.
  • Go to the advanced feature.
  • Click on “Motion and gestures”.
  • Enabled “Palm swipe to capture”.
  • Now you go to the screen which you want to capture.
  • Swipe your palm right to left, or right to left to capture the screenshot.

Method 3: Enable Smart capture To Screenshot The Entire Web Page

If you are trying to capture the entire app or web page instead of just one section of your phone screen, then this option can let you do this.

  • Go to settings.
  • Visit Advanced Features.
  • Tap “Screenshots and screen recorder”.
  • Enable “Screenshot toolbar.”
  • Capture the screenshot by using gestures or buttons.
  • Tap and hold “Scroll capture” button to scroll to the bottom of the web page.
  • Leave the button when you are done.
  • You are done.

Method 4: Ask Bixby To Screenshot

You can also use your smartphone’s default digital voice assistance to screenshot, but first, you have to make sure that you enabled the Bixby to assist on your voice command.

  • Go to Bixby.
  • Go to Bixby settings.
  • Enabled Voice wake-up.
  • Go to the screen which you want to screenshot.
  • Say “Hi Bixby,” “Take A Screenshot”.
  • Save the screenshot.
  • You are done.

Method 5: Ask Google Assistant To Screenshot

Like Bixby, you also command Google Assistance to screenshot; in case your phone doesn’t have the Google Assistant, then you can download it from the play store. But before taking the screenshot with Google Assistance, you have to make sure that you enabled the Google Assistant to work on your command.

  • Go your phone settings.
  • Search for Google Services.
  • Enable Voice Search with Google.
  • Go to the screen which you want to screenshot.
  • Say “Hey Google,” “Take A Screenshot”.
  • Save the screenshot.
  • You are done.

Method 6: Use Smart Select To Screenshot

Like the previous methods, first make sure that this feature is enabled in your phone,

  • Go to the settings.
  • Go to Display.
  • Visit Edge screen.
  • Enable Edge panels.
  • Now go to the screen where you want to screenshot.
  • Open Edge Panel.
  • Choose Smart Select.
  • Choose the shape of the screenshot.
  • Select the area which you want to screenshot, and once it is done, simply release the fingers.
  • You are done, the screenshot is taken.

Method 7: Take Screenshot Using the S-Pen

  • Visit the screen which you want to screenshot.
  • Take out the S-Pen from your phone, and it will launch the Air Command option.
  • Click on the Air Command button with S-Pen.
  • Click on ​​Screen Write.
  • Save the Screenshot to your phone.
  • You are done.

Method 8: Use Any Third-Party App

If any of the web pages or app is not letting your screenshot on their platform with your default screenshot feature, then you have to use any third-party screenshot app.

There are many apps and services which will not allow you to screenshot with your default screenshot option; one such app is Netflix which will not let you screenshot their content.

So, in that case, you can use any third-party screenshot app on your phone. You can find many screenshot app in the play store.

Where To See, Edit, Or Share Screenshot On Samsung Note Phones?

You can view your captured screenshot in your photos gallery, under the screenshot folder. You can also access this screenshot folder in your file manager.

In case you want to edit or save the screenshot, then just open the screenshot and tap on it.
