How To Fix Sims 4 Error Code 109?

Fix 1: Check For Sim 4 Server Status

To check Sim 4 Server status you can go to, and search for Sim 4. Now check if Down Detector is showing any outrage with the game server.

Fix 2: Delete The LocalThumbCache. Package File

Many users have reported that error 109 occurs due to an outdated mod which causes the game to crash. If this issue is caused by the mod then it can be easily solved by deleting the LocalThumbCache.Package File.

  • Open file explorer and look for the Sims 4 game.
  • Once you reach the location, right-click next to mods, press copy then pastes it to Desktop safely.
  • Now right click next on LocalThumbCache. Package file, select Delete.
  • Now open Origin, give a right click on the Sims 4 game, and select Repair Game from the context menu.
  • Wait till the repair process starts.
  • Restart your PC once the repair is completed and check if the error code is fixed or not.
  • If you have moved out the Mods, then you can put it back to its original location, just make sure that you are doing it when the game is not being played.
