Sonos error code 1101 is a connection failure error and it indicates that your Sonos products can not reach the Sonos servers to check for updates. And as a result, you are having the error.

How To Fix Sonos Error Code 1101?

Fix 1: Make Sure You Are Not Using VPN Or Any AdBlocker
First, ensure that you are not using any VPN or AdBlocker on your device. And if in case using any then consider disabling them and then try updating.

Fix 2: Power Cycle All Of Your Home Networking Equipment
If the error still persists then the next thing you need to try is to power cycle all of your Home Networking Equipment such as Modem, routers, Network switches, etc.
You need to simply shut down all of your networking equipment and keep them powered off for a few minutes. Then restart them and check for the error.
Fix 3: Power Off And Remove All The Unsupported Network Equipment
If the error still occurs then try powering off and removing any unsupported network equipment from your network.

Fix 4: Quit And Re-open The Sonos App
The next thing you need to try is to close down the Sonos app and then re-open it.
- Close the Sonos App.
- Then Disconnect your phone from the internet.
- Now Wait for around 30 to 40 seconds.
- Then reconnect your phone to the internet.
- Now re-open the Sonos app.
Fix 5: Power Cycle Your Sonos products
- Shut down all of your Sonos devices by unplugging them from the power.
- Now wait for at least 40 to 60 seconds.
- Then plug in your Sonos devices to the power source.
- Now try updating.
Fix 6: Are You Using an Ethernet Connection?
If your Sonos device is connected via an Ethernet cable then check if the Ethernet cable is properly connected to the device and router.
