Fix 1: Check If the Game Needed To Be updated

The very first cause for this error may be not using the latest version of the game. So we will suggest you to check if there is any pending firmware version available for the game, if yes then consider installing the pending firmware version and then check for the error.

If in case you are already using the latest version of the game then move to the next workaround.


Fix 2: Check Server Status

The next reason behind the error can be the game server having some kind of outage or under maintenance. So check Star Citizen server status to make sure their servers are not having any issues.

To check their server status you can visit their official server status page. Alternatively, you can also visit downdetector which is a third-party website that tracks the server status of different games and apps.

If the game servers are down then it will be best to wait for some time and try again.


Fix 3: Close & Relaunch The Game

If things are normal with the Star Citizen servers then close the game and then relaunch it after a few seconds.

  • Close the game completely from your system.
  • Then disconnect your device from the internet.
  • Now wait for around a few seconds.
