If you are facing the following Error Code 401 on TiviMate and want a solution ASAP! Then, good news for you is that you have landed up in the right place. Here, in the following article on, “How to fix TiviMate Error Code 401?”. We will try covering up everything there is related to the following error, from what causes the error to how to fix it, so that you can go back to using TiviMate as you used to.

So usually, when you see the following 401 Error Code show up on your TiviMate app, it may be mainly caused as a result of the app being blocked by your ISP provider itself.

Since, most users allow only one connection slot at a time. In such cases, having more than one player on a single device may create such complications where the ISP themselves block one or the other player app from working properly.

Hence, if that is the case, then, contacting your ISP providers and taking up the problem to them might be the best option out there to solve the issue.

However, if the error has occurred as a result of a network issue or error. Then, the solutions listed below should help you fix the issue on your own and in no time.

How to fix TiviMate Error Code 401?

Fix 1: Flush your DNS system

Depending upon what type of OS platform you are using the app on. You can try flushing your DNS system, to see if doing so helps fix the issue for you.

Now to flush your DNS on a Windows OS system, you can follow the steps shown below:

  • Firstly, go to your Windows’ search bar and type in CMD.
  • Then, right-click on the Command Prompt app and select the run as administrator option from the drop down menu.
  • Next, once the command prompt terminal shows up. Type in: ipconfig /flushdns and press enter
  • Once that is done. Your DNS cache should be cleared and you should be able to stream on your TiviMate app without any error.

Fix 2: Change User Agent

If the above method didn’t work for you. Then, you can try changing the User Agent field as “IPTVSmartersPlayer”.

To do so, you can first go to the app’s Settings option and then head to General

Under general option, then add IPTVSmartersPlayer to User Agent as User Agent: IPTVSmartersPlayer, and you should be able to take care of the error.

Fix 3: Try using a VPN app

If it is indeed your ISP provider blocking the TiviMate from running properly and they can’t seem to help you with a solution to fix it. Then, you can try using a third-party VPN app to change your location, which in turn should help you use the TiviMate app as intended.

Simply, install any trusted VPN app from a trusted source on the internet and change your location inside the VPN to one where TiviMate app is not banned or allowed.

If the error persists even after doing so. Then, you can head to the following methods as shown below.

Fix 4: Clear app cache

If your app was working fine earlier and suddenly stops working to show the following message. Then, the error might be caused as a result of a temporary glitch or bug.

To fix this, you can try clearing up the app cache as shown in the steps below.

To clear up app cache for Android OS:

  • Go to your device’s Settings menu by either clicking on the Settings app or the gear icon.
  • Then, tap on the Apps option under Settings.
  • Next, from the list of app, select and click on the TiviMate app.
  • On the next page, click on the Storage & cache option and tap on the Clear Cache.

If you are using the app on an iOS platform. Then, you can follow the steps listed below to clear your app cache on your respective iOS devices:

  • Go to the Settings menu from your homescreen.
  • Then, in the Settings page, scroll down and click on the TiviMate app.
  • Next, toggle on the clear app cache on next launch option.
  • Launch the app and see if the error still persists.

Fix 5: Try resetting your network devices

There may be times when the issue may arise as a result of some problems within your router or modem itself, stopping the player from running properly.

Hence, if none of the options mentioned above worked. Then, you can try resetting your network devices once to see if that does the trick for you.

So, to reset your network devices, you can follow the steps as shown below:

  • Depending on what type of router or modem you may be using. At the back of your device, you should be able to see either a reset button or a reset hole.
  • If you have a reset button. Then, simply press and hold the button for at least 8 seconds till the device gets reseted.
  • However, if there is a reset hole at the back. Then, by inserting one pointed end of the paper clip into the hole and keeping it pushed for at least 8 seconds, you should be able to reset the device.
  • And once the device has been reseted, see if the error still persists.
