As per the official information shared by VanMoof, the error code 20 occurs because of a sudden battery shutdown on your Bike. If you are currently having this error then there are a few workarounds shared by VanMoof to deal with this error. You can find all those workarounds below in this article.
Fixes For VanMoof Error Code 20
Fix 1: Are You Using The Latest Firmware Version For Your Bike?
If you receive this error then first thing you need to make sure if you are using the latest Firmware version for your bike or not.
If you are not sure, whether your bike has the latest firmware version or not then to check, you need to visit the app settings screen. From there you can check if there are any pending updates available for the firmware. If yes, then you can install it from there.
Fix 2: Reset Your Bike
Next, you can try restarting your bike. To do that tap and hold your bike power button until you see the reset symbol on the screen. As you see , the reset symbol on the bike leaves the power button. Now your bike will restart.
Next, you can press either handlebar button to power on your bike. In case your bike is locked then you can unlock your bike by using one of the 3 ways to unlock the bike.
Fix 3: Contact VanMoof
If you still receive the error then you should contact VanMoof to report the issue and to contact them you can visit here. It’s possible that your battery may need to be replaced.
Tip: We can’t verify this but on Reddit, one user has shared that he was also having the same issues. So he started not using Boost for the first ten minutes of riding during the cold. And after that, he didn’t see the error message on the screen.
