As per the users, they can see the video playing on the thumbnail but when they try to play it, it shows the error code 4 which says “an error occurred. Please try again later”. Fix 1: Restart Your Browser And Device

If you are using YouTube TV from the browser then try closing the browser completely and then relaunch the browser. If closing and relaunching the browser doesn’t help then we will suggest you restart your device.

This workaround was shared on twitter where two users confirmed to resolve this error by simply rebooting the device.

Fix 2: Check For Device And App Updates

Next, check if the YouTube Tv app needed to be updated if yes then consider updating the app.

Also check and make sure that your device is using the latest firmware version, especially if you are using YouTube Tv on a Smart Tv because smart tv requires the latest firmware in order to play some apps and services.


Fix 3: Restart Your Tv

If you are using the YouTube TV app on your Smart TV, and you have confirmed that you are using the latest version of the app, as well as tv is also updated with the latest firmware then power cycle your tv by following the steps given below.

  • Power off your TV from your Tv remote.
  • Then unplug the TV power cable from the electric wall outlet.
  • Then wait for full 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Then plug in the power cable back into the wall outlet.
  • Then power on the Tv and check if the error still persists.

Fix 4: Check Internet Issues

If the error is still appearing on the screen then check if you are having some internet issues. You can try playing any other app or website on your device to check if they are working or not.

Also go to any internet speed test website to check your internet speed, if your internet speed is slow then contact your ISP.

If the error still doesn’t go away then it’s possible that YouTube tv is having some issues right now with their system.
