And if it suffices your needs, then you can install the OS anytime by following the steps as shown in the guide linked in the section above.

1. iPhone camera integration

You can either call it a trick, a perk or even a feature introduced with even better control on the all new MacOS Sonoma.

Just by using the app Continuity Camera, you can get high quality video conferencing experience for all your meetings and video broadcast events.

Obviously, the Continuity Camera app has been there for quite some time now and has been previously used in the earlier Mac versions in the same way as well.

But, with the all new MacOS Sonoma, there has been even better integration of the OS with the app to enhance the quality of video and the features associated with it.

2. Better and more accurate Visual Look Up

For those of you who are not familiar with the Visual Look Up feature on MacOS. It basically allows you to get more information on a particular Photo or Video simply by right-clicking on it and selecting the Visual Look Up option from the drop down menu.

However, with MacOS Sonoma, the Visual Look Up feature has got an even better glow up and improvement, making it more informative as well as precise in nature.

From how to reach a place in a photo, to listing out the entire ingredients or recipe of a particular dish in a video or picture. The Visual Look Up feature in MacOS Sonoma is able to do it all, pretty effectively and precisely.

3. Dynamic Background

A new concept or feature that has been recently introduced by Apple in the year 2023 would be Dynamic Backgrounds transcending into live wallpapers.

This feature is my absolute favorite as the progression that takes place from the static wallpaper to the dynamic screensaver is so smooth, that just looking at it will at times make your day.

To know more about how to apply such screensavers on your MacOS Sonoma. You can refer to the following guide.

4. Dynamic Widgets

For those working around the clock, widgets can be a great way to add more productivity. This works even better when adding and removing widgets seems seamless and effortless. And with MacOS Sonoma, you can just achieve that.

From widgets changing colors to match with your background to simple drag and drop functions with widgets, the new MacOS Sonoma has it all to offer.

5. More Web App integration

Having to type in a URL to visit a particular website or service has always been a difficult and time consuming task.

However, with the web apps feature on the new MacOS, this problem seems to be taken care of.

Now, you can simply turn a web page or a site into a web app, and use it whenever you feel like. Simply dock it for easy access or have it placed on your Desktop.

To learn more about how to turn a web page into a web app, you can refer to the following guide.

6. A more secure Safari Browser

If you like surfing the internet in Private mode. Then, you should definitely have fun doing so with the Safari browser on the new MacOS Sonoma.

The new Safari Browser commits to keeping your browsing data anonymous and free from monitoring by any third party websites or apps out there, giving you enough freedom to browse your favorite sites and services without any worries.

7. Safari Categorization

Another very useful feature that has been added to the all new Safari browser is being able to categorize or create a specific section for multiple tabs at the same time.

That means, depending on what type of work you are browsing the net, you can now bookmark and categorize your web pages under specific categories to avoid any kind of confusion.

For Example: If you are a web designer working with multiple clients. Then, the amount of research or work you do on different websites or web pages. You can now categorize them accordingly with respect to the particular client(s).

8. Additional Video Conferencing features

Coming with some really amazing video conferencing features and capabilities, the MacOS Sonoma allows users to use features like Presenter Overlay, Reactions and Screen Sharing picker to enhance your overall video conferencing experience.

Where on one hand with the Presenter Overlay feature, the user is allowed to appear in front with the contents being presented behind him. The Screen Sharing Picker feature on the other hand, enables users to share apps easily during video calls without any abruption.

As for the Reactions feature, it basically allows users to add a little bit of spice and diversity to their videos while in conference.

9. Secure Autofill in PDF

There may be times when you need to type in the same set of information multiple times such as your personal information or contacts and so on.

With Sonoma’s new autofill feature for its PDFs, users are allowed to fill out saved information on scanned documents or PDFs in a fraction of a second without any hassle.

In addition to that, now you can also view a PDF in full-width on Notes, making your PDF easily viewable and accessible right from your Notes itself.

10. Game up with Game Mode

With Game Mode, now you can easily grant higher priority to games, giving them access to enough system resources as they need to be able to play smoothly and without any lags.

This feature is really helpful at times when you have limited resources and are running multiple programs at the same time. When you use this feature, your CPU and GPU prioritizes your game over the other background programs and taks, allowing the game to run at its optimum capacity.

11. Sensitive Content Blurring

Another key feature that you will get to see in the new macOS Sonoma is the content blurring feature for sensitive photos and videos before opening to view them.

This feature will be available across all platforms such as your browsers, messaging apps as well as other third-party apps with the provision of viewing images and videos.

Conclusion

In addition to all the above, there are other small and big new features as well which you can learn more in detail from the following pdf documentation.
