Fix 1: Check If There Is Any Needed Update For The Game

Fix 2: Run Helldivers 2 As An Administrator

If your game is up to date with its latest version then try running the game with the administrative privilege.

Fix 3: Disable Your Device Firewall And Antivirus Temporarily

If running the game as an administrator also doesn’t resolve the issue then try disabling your device firewall and antivirus program temporarily.

Once you are done with disabling your Antivirus and Firewall, restart your device and then check for the error again.

Fix 4: Validate The Game Files While Device’s Antivirus/Firewall Is Disabled

If the error persists and you are playing on Steam then try validating your games, while you perform this step make sure your device Firmware/Antivirus is disabled.

  • Disable your device firewall and Antivirus.
  • Then Restart your device.
  • Then Launch Steam.
  • Then go to the Game library.
  • Then go to Helldivers 2 and Right-click on it.
  • Then choose Properties.
  • Then select the Installed files tabs.
  • Then choose Verify integrity of game files.
  • Now wait till Steam finishes verifying the game files.
  • Now check if you still get the error or not.

Fix 5: Try Manually Closing The Nprotect

  • Close the Helldivers 2.
  • Then go to the Task Manager.
  • Then look for the Nprotect.
  • Then Force Close the Nprotect.
  • Then Relaunch the Helldivers 2 and check for the error.

Fix 6: Try Performing The Following Steps

  • Close the Helldivers 2.
  • Then go to the Helldivers 2 Folder on your PC.
  • Then go to the “Bin” folder.
  • Then look for the folder named “GameGuard”.
  • Then you need to Delete the “GameGuard” folder.
  • Then Run the Helldivers 2 as an Administrator to force the game to create a new GameGuard folder.
  • Then have a note of the Route to this new GameGuard folder.
  • Then go to your device’s Antivirus program.
  • Then from the antivirus program file explorer go back to the new GameGuard folder, and add this folder under your antivirus whitelist.
  • Then Restart your device and check for the error again.
