Fix 1: Check Your Internet Connection

Most of the time this error comes when there is some issue with your internet so our first advice will be for you to check your internet connection.

  • If you are using mobile data then put your phone on the flight mode and then disable the flight mode after a few seconds, then check if the error continues.
  • If you are using the wifi connection then power off your router and wait for around 3 to 4 minutes, then restart the router and check if the error continues.

Note: in case the error continues then try using other apps on your device to check if your internet is working or not.


Fix 2: Try Switching Data Type

During our research, we found a few users who shared that switching the data type fixes the issue for them.

  • If you are using mobile data then consider connecting over a Wifi connection.
  • in case you are connected over Wifi connection then connect over mobile data.

Note: If you are using a Wifi connection, and connecting over the mobile data fixes the issue then you should contact your ISP to report the issue. It can be possible that any of your Wifi settings are causing the error, and in that case, contacting the ISP is the best resolution.


Fix 3: Clear Miitomo Cache

If the error still continues then you should try clearing the Miitomo cache. If you don’t know how to do this then you can refer to the guide below.

For Android

  • Go to Miitomo.
  • Then tap and hold on to the Miitomo app icon.
  • Then app App Info.
  • Then choose Storage.
  • Then choose Clear Cache.
  • Then go back and Launch the Miitomo.
  • Now check if you can play the Miitomo.

For IOS

If you are using the Miitomo on your IOS device then you can choose to Offload the app and then reinstall it.


Fix 4: Other Workarounds

  • If the error continues then check if you need to update the Miitomo. So manually check if there is a pending update for the Miitomo, if yes then consider updating the app and then check for the error.
  • If Miitomo is updated with the latest version but the error is still coming then simply uninstall the Miitomo and then restart your device. Then go to the app store and reinstall the Miitomo.
