- The error says, “Error Code 9001-0055 The item corresponding to the code you entered is not currently available. Please check the release date. If the product is not yet released, please try again after that date.”
- As per Nintendo, this error can mean that your download code is expired, if not then you are trying to redeem the download code for something which is not yet officially released for purchase.

- First, check if your download code has expired, if your download code is not yet expired then make sure you not making any mistakes while entering your download code.
- If your download code is not yet expired then it can be possible that your software is not yet released for purchase on the Eshop. This can happen on the Eshop because different software may become available for purchase at different times of day on their release dates. - If your content is available for purchase and your download code is also not yet expired then it can be possible that you are trying to redeem a download code from a country from where it was not purchased. As per the Nintendo terms you can only redeem your code if your Nintendo Account country is set to the same country where it was purchased.
