Here we are going to share the workarounds for the BDO (Black Desert Online) error code 904.
As per the research done by our team, the error code 904 occurs as the users launch the game, and the error mainly occurs for Steam users.
In our research, we have found that the majority of the time the error is either coming from the game’s send or the Steam. You can see the screenshot given below where the BDO team in the past has admitted that the issue is coming from their end.
Fixes For BDO Error Code 904
- To fix the BDO error code 904 first you should try power cycling your computer and internet. Simply power off your computer and make sure it’s disconnected from the power source, then disconnect the router from the power source. Now you need to wait for around 5 minutes, then restart your internet and computer. Then relaunch Steam, and check if the error still comes.
- Next check if you have a pending update for the Steam or the BDO, if you find any pending updates whether it’s for the Steam or the BDO consider installing the update, and then check if the error still comes.
- If the Steam and the BDO are updated but the error is still coming then go to the downdetector and all the BDO social media sites to check if BDO servers are going through some kind of outage. If yes then this may be the reason for the error and you should wait for some time and try again.
- If BDO servers are fine and there is no outage then go to the steamstat.us and check if Steam servers are down.
- If nothing above gives you a clue about the error then the last option you have is to contact BDO support to report your issue.
