There are two main reasons for the error

  • You are trying to launch into an activity that is restricted or banned to your account.
  • In case you are having the error while playing “Mission: Cocoon” from Season of the Lost, then you are required to clear the space in your quest inventory.

Fix 1: Check If You Are Trying To Access An Restricted Activity

  • If you are getting this error while launching into an activity then check if you are trying to access a restricted activity.
  • To confirm this you can try selecting a different activity and if you can access it then this indicates that you were previously trying to access an activity that was restricted.

Fix 2: Are You Playing “Mission: Cocoon”

If case you are getting the error while playing the “Mission: Cocoon” from the Season of the Lost, then try clearing out the space in your quest inventory and then check if now you can bypass the error.


Fix 3: Verify The Integrity Of Game Files

In case you are using a PC to play Destiny 2 then we will advise you to verify the integrity of your game files for your Steam app.

  • First, you need to Restart your PC.
  • Then launch Steam.
  • Then go to your game library, and right-click on Destiny 2.
  • Then choose Properties.
  • Then choose the Installed Files tab.
