Fix 1: Check The Minecraft Server Status

The very first thing you should do is check if Minecraft servers are down.

If Minecraft servers are down then they might be the reasons behind the error and there will be no benefit of trying any workarounds.

To check the Minecraft server status you can visit mcsrvstat, as well as downdetector. If they show any issues with Minecraft servers then we will recommend waiting till things get normal with their server and then trying again.


Fix 2: Reboot Your Gaming Console

If the Minecraft servers are up without any issues then try rebooting your gaming console to fix any temporary glitch which might be causing the error.

For Xbox

  • Tap and hold the Xbox button on your controller to access the power center.
  • Then choose Restart Console.
  • Then choose Restart.
  • Once the console restarts, check if you still have the error.

  4. Then choose Minecraft.
  5. Then choose the Manage game and add-on.
  6. Then choose Saved data.
  7. Then choose Delete all.

For PS4

  • Turn off your PS4 console.
  • Then as the console light stops blinking Unplug the console power cord from the back of the console.
  • Now you need to Wait for around 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Then Plug the power cord back into the console.
  • Then Turn on the console.
  • Now check if you still get the error.

Fix 4: You Need To Reinstall Minecraft

If the error still comes to the screen then you need to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft as a last resort.
