There is a new error code in the town for Snapchat, and I am talking about the error code C16A. If you are also having this error right now then here we will share all the details related to this issue.
What Is The Snapchat Error Code C16A?
As per the user’s complaints, the error comes while login to the Snapchat app, and because of the error users are unable to access their account.
As of now, there is no information shared by Snapchat on the error code C16A, so we can’t say anything with 100% surety that why exactly the error code is coming. But we have done some research and found that most probably the error is coming from Snapchat’s end itself because of some issues on their system.
If you are currently getting this error then we will suggest you to check and make sure there is nothing wrong on your end. And if everything is okay on your end but the error is still coming then we are very much certain that the error is coming from Snapchat’s end and you should wait for some time and try again.
Fixes For Snapchat Error Code C16A
First, we will suggest you to check for a few things so you can make sure that everything is okay on your end. Here is the list of things you need to check and make sure.
Fix 1: Check If You Are Using The Latest Version Of the Snapchat App
Check if you are using the latest version of the Snapchat App. To check if you are using the latest version of Snapchat or not, you can go to your App Store and from there search for Snapchat. If the app needs to be updated then you will see the update option next to the app. If you can’t see the update option next to the app then it means you are already using the latest version of the Snapchat app.
Fix 2: Force Close The App And Clear The Cache
If you are using an Android phone then we will suggest you to force close the Snapchat app and then clear the cache. If you don’t know how to do this, then follow the below-given steps.
- Press and hold the Snapchat App icon.
- Then tap App Info.
- Then choose the option to Force Stop the app.
- Then tap Storage.
- Then tap clear cache.
- Then relaunch the Snapchat App.
- Now try logging in to your account.
Fix 3: Restart Your Device
Next thing we will recommend you to restart your device. You need to simply power off your phone and then wait for a full 2 to 3 minutes and then restart your phone. Then launch Snapchat and check for the error.
Fix 4: Uninstall The App And Reinstall It
As a last workaround, we will suggest you to uninstall the Snapchat app from your phone and then restart the phone. Once your phone restarts go to the app store and reinstall the Snapchat.
- Uninstall the Snapchat.
- Then restart your phone.
- Then go to the Apps Store.
- Then search for Snapchat and reinstall the app.
- Then relaunch Snapchat.
- Then check if the error still appears.
Fix 5: Check Snapchat For Outage
If you are done with the above workaround then most probably the error is coming from Snapchat because of some kind of outage. We will suggest you to visit downdetector and check if downdetector is showing an outage situation with Snapchat. If yes, then Snapchat is going through some system issues and you should wait for a few hours and keep trying to login to your account.
When we last checked the downdetector on 7 June, Snapchat was having an outage. You can see the screenshot given below.
