How To Fix Steam Trade Error 11?


Fix 1: Make Sure You Are Not Trading The Same Item Twice

As per our research the error code 11 also may mean that the trade offer has already gone through so check if you are trading the same item twice. You can see the screenshot given below where two users on Reddit mentioned that they had this issue because they were trying to trade the same item twice.


Fix 2: Resend The Trade

If you are sure that you are not trying to trade the same item twice then try resending it. Try this at least 4 to 5 times before quitting this workaround.


Fix 3: Switch Between Steam Client And Browse

If you are trying to trade by using the Steam website then try using the Steam client to trade to check if it helps bypass the error or not.

If you are trading by using the Steam Client and having the error. Then in that case try using the Steam website to trade.

We can’t guarantee whether this will 100% work or not, but you should definitely give it a try.


Fix 4: Restart Steam

If you are using the Steam website from your browser then simply quit the browser and then power off your device. Then wait for a few seconds and restart the device. Once the device is restarted, relaunch your browser and enter the Steam website. Now try trading the same item to check if the error remains or is gone.

If you are using Steam Client then quit the Steam Client and then power off your device. Then restart the device after a few seconds, then relaunch the Steam Client to check if the error still persists while trading or not.
