So why do you need to Uninstall the game if you need to Reinstall it again?

How To Uninstall And Reinstall Games On PS4, PS5?


For PS5

  • From your Home Screen open the Game Library.
  • Then make sure you are on the Installed tab.
  • Then Look for the game that you want to delete, and select it.
  • Then press the Options button from the controller.
  • Then choose Delete.
  • Then Shut down your PS5 console and Restart it after a few seconds.
  • Then visit the Game Library again.
  • Then choose Your Collection tab.
  • Then Look for the game that you just deleted, and Select it.
  • Then press the Options button from the controller.
  • Then choose Download.
  • Now Wait till the game downloads to your PS5 console.
  • In case you want to see the real-time progress of download then you can refer to the Downloads/Uploads section.

For PS4

  • Go to the Games Menu.
  • Then go to the game that you want to delete and select it.
  • Then Press the Options button from your controller.
  • Then choose Delete.
  • Then Confirm that you want to delete the game.
  • Now Wait till the uninstallation process finishes.
  • Then Shut down and Restart your PS4 console.
  • Then go to the Library.
  • Then go to the Purchased.
  • Then look for your Game and Select it.
  • Then press the Option button.
  • Then choose Download.
