Fix 1: Did You Restart The Steam?
We hope before coming to this post you may have already restarted the steam. If yes then you can move forward trying other workarounds but in case you didn’t try restarting the Steam then we will suggest you restart the Steam and then check for the error.
Fix 2: Verifying The Integrity Of The Game File
Some users have mentioned that verifying the integrity of game files fixes the issue for them. So as a next workaround, we will suggest the same.
- Launch the Steam.
- Then go to the Library.
- Then from the list of games you own, right-click on XCOM 2.
- Then choose Properties.
- Then go to the local files tab.
- Then choose verify the Integrity of game files.
- Now wait till the process finishes.

Fix 3: Run The Game As Administrator And Then Verify The Integrity Of The Game File

Fix 5: Reinstall The Game
