Fix 1: Check Your Internet

The first thing you need to ensure that your internet is working, to do that simply connect your phone or laptop with your internet, and check if your internet is working flawlessly or not. If you see any internet problems then you should get in touch with your ISP.


Fix 2: Make Sure Your Box Is Connected To the Internet

If your internet is working then check if your BT Box is properly connected to the internet.

  • Go to the Menu.
  • Then choose Settings.
  • Then choose Broadband Connection.
  • Now check if it says Your box is not connected, if so then choose Edit connection and choose Auto connect.

Fix 3: Check All The Cables

Next, you should check all the cables connected to your BT Box. Below we have shared all the steps you need to check depending on the connection type.

For Direct Ethernet cable

  • First, check if the internet Ethernet cable is properly connected to the right Ethernet port.
  • If the internet Ethernet cable is correctly connected then try removing it and then insert it back.
  • Next, follow the Ethernet cable back to the router. Now remove and reinsert it back the cable back to the router.

Powerline adapters

  • First, check if the internet Ethernet cable is properly connected to the right Ethernet port.
  • If the Ethernet cable is correctly connected then try removing and inserting it back.
  • Now from two of the powerline adapters check which is connected to the TV Box. Now check if your router is properly connected to the TV Box.

Fix 4: Restarts Your Router Along With The Box

  • Power off your Router.
  • Make sure to Disconnect your router from the power source.
  • Then Restart your router after 30 to 40 seconds.
  • Now Wait till your internet properly starts back.
  • Then Shut down and Restart your TV Box.
  • Now check if the error still comes.
