One solution or cause which we found common in most cases was mainly related to the Internet Explorer or Edge browser.
Many users who had faced the issue on their respective systems reported that all they did was clear the cache for their Edge browsers and that seemed to have done the trick for them.
Hence, you too can try clearing your browser cache and see if doing that helps fix the problem.
One other thing to note here is that the game usually considers IE or Edge to be your default browser. This means that, even if you use a different browser as default on your system. For FFXIV, it will in most cases consider IE or Edge as your default browser only. So it is important that you clear the cache history for Edge irrespective of whichever browser you may be using as default on your systems for this solution to work properly.

As a note of precaution, before trying out this method, it would be a good idea to first change your default browser to Edge from your current one. And once you are done clearing the cache for all the browsers, you may switch back to your desired browser and keep it as your default.
Fix 2: Reset Settings for Edge browser
One user also specifically mentioned that resetting your Edge Settings could also help fix the problem as can be seen from the screenshot below.
So, to reset the Settings for your Edge browser, you can follow the steps as shown below:
- Firstly, click on the three dot option to the extreme top right corner of your browser page.
- Then, from the drop down menu list, click and select the Settings option.
- Next, on the Settings page, click on the Reset Settings option as shown in the screenshot below
- Now, click on the Restore Settings to their default values option on the right hand pane and reset the browser settings.
Fix 3: Clean boot your PC
You may also try a clean boot on your PC to try and fix the following error. This would enable FFXIV to use all the resources without having to share it with other programs running in the background.

Fix 4: Chang binaries in B4EulaAgreement file
Although, I am not sure about the following solution. A user however has reported changing the binary date value from 0 to 1 in the B4EulaAgreement file to have worked.

Fix 5: Run the game as an Admin
Running the game as an Administrator might also help solve the error as had been reported by one user out there who had faced the same issue.
To run the game as an admin. All you need to do is right-click on the game icon and select the Run as Administrator option from the drop down list.
If it works for you. Then, you can keep the following settings as default by right-clicking on the app and going to the Properties option.
Then, in the Properties page, go to the Compatibility section and check mark the Run this program as administrator option and save the changes. This would allow you to run the program as an admin without having to choose the option each time you want to launch the game.
Fix 6: Disable Antivirus or Add as exception
There may be times when your Antivirus service or app might block the game from accessing the internet.
This as a result might cause the following error to occur.
Thus, you can either disable your Antivirus app or add the URL as an exception.
Fix 7: Reset IPÂ
In some cases, a simple reset can also fix the issue.
One user had reported that simply resetting his router was all that was needed to solve the issue as it resetted the IP and allowed him to launch the game without any problem.
To this, you can just switch off your router device and wait for a few minutes before switching it back on.
