Recently, many users have reported facing the following Fortnite Error Code 20002 while trying to play the game online.
And although, the exact cause of the error is still not known. There have been reports that the error might have occurred as a result of an issue at the server-end itself.
Hence, if it is indeed a server issue. Then, there is actually nothing much you can do anyways to fix the error at your end. But, rather just wait it out till the Fortnite developer team takes care of the error at their end itself. Even then, a few users online have tried a few solutions on their own which seemed to have worked for them and are as follows:

Fix 1: Delete EasyAntiCheat folder
One method which seemed to have worked for a few users out there is by deleting the EasyAntiCheat folder in their respective systems and running a repair for the game.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the steps to doing so is quite simple and are as follows:
- Firstly, browse to the location where the game folder is. Usually, it would be C:/ProgramFiles/Fortnite/FortniteGame/Binaries/Win64.
- Inside the Win64 folder, scroll down and delete the following files:
- FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping
- FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_BE
- FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC
- FortniteLauncher
- After deleting the above mentioned files. Then, browse back to the EasyAntiCheat folder and launch the EasyAntiCheat_Setup application.
- Inside the EasyAntiCheat_Setup application, click on the Uninstall option to uninstall the application.
- Then, go back to the previous Win64 folder and delete the entire EasyAntiCheat folder.
- Once that is done, go back to your desktop and launch the Epic Game launcher. Head to the Game Library and Verify the Fortnite game.
- Give it some time for the game files to be verified and check whether the error still occurs after that.

Fix 2: Delete EAC from registry editor
You can also delete the EasyAntiCheat folder or files by using the registry as follows:
- Go to your Windows Search bar and type in registry editor.
- Then, launch the registry editor app and right-click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder.
- From the drop-down menu, select the Find… option and type in EasyAntiCheat_EOS in the text field.
- Hit on the Find Next button and delete all EasyAntiCheat_EOS files and entries which show up.
- Next, browse to the Fortnite EasyAntiCheat folder as had been shown in the above solution.
- Inside the folder, launch the EasyAntiCheat_Setup app and click on the Repair Service button.
- Once the repair operation is completed, launch the game and see if the error has been resolved.
