In this blog post, we are going to share the workaround for the Geforce Now error code 0x800b1004.
As per the user’s complaints, the error code 0x800b1004 occurs with Geforce Now wherever users try to play a game. As per the user’s information the game loads and then gives this error code.
As of now while we are writing about this error there is no official information shared by Nvidia about this error. But we have found many workarounds for the error during our research, you can find all those workarounds below in the article.
Fixes For Geforce Now Error Code 0x800b1004
Fix 1: Are You Using A VPN?
In case you are using a VPN then the problem can be related to your VPN. So we will suggest you to troubleshoot your VPN.
- We will suggest your VPN server switch locations and check if the error persists.
- If the error continues then disable your VPN for around 30 to 40 seconds and then re-enable it.
- If the error continues then try restarting your device and then check if the error gets resolved.
Fix 2: Quit The App And Device
Next, try quitting the Geforce Now, and then relaunch it after 20 to 30 seconds. If relaunching the app doesn’t resolve the issue then try restarting your device to check if that helps.
Fix 3: End Task For NVIDIA Container
- Open your Task Manager.
- Then search for NVIDIA Container and close the task for it by selecting the End task option.
- Then search for the Nvidia program and end the task.
- Then check if now you can bypass the error.
Fix 4: Set Server Location To Auto
Some users have shared that putting the server location to the Auto for the Geforce now fixes the issue for them, so we will suggest the same for you.
To set the server location to Auto, go to the settings tab from the top corner. From there choose the server location to the Auto.
Fix 5: Check If Firewall Is Enabled On Your Router/Modem
If the error continues then check if you have a network-level firewall, if yes then this can be the reason for the error. So simply access your router settings and check if the firewall is enabled, if yes then consider disabling it, and then check for the error.
Fix 6: Use A VPN
If you still get the error then we will suggest using a VPN. During our research, we found some users who were able to bypass the error by simply using a VPN.
Fix 7: Reinstall Geforce Now
If nothing above helps you resolve the error then you can try reinstalling the Geforce Now. You need to uninstall the Geforce Now and then restart the device. Then reinstall the Geforce Now and check if the error continues.
