What To Do If Not Receiving The Lyft Verification Code?
Fix 1: Are You Unsubscribed From Account Alerts?
If you are trying to log in to Lyft but not getting the verification code then it might mean that you are unsubscribed from the account alerts, so try re-subscribing by following the steps given below.
- Quit the Lyft app.
- Then go to your messaging app.
- Then text START to 46080 (or 59381 for Canada) and follow the given instructions.
- Then re-launch the Lyft app.
- Now try login into Lyft to check if you are getting the verification code or not.
Fix 2: Wait For a Few Minutes
If you are still unable to receive the verification code then before trying the next workaround wait for at least 2 to 3 minutes. Many times all you need to do is wait. Simply wait for some time and check if you are receiving the verification code or not. If not then move to the next workaround.
Fix 3: Get The Verification Code On Call
If unfortunately still you are unable to receive the verification code then try receiving the verification code on the call, and to do so follow the steps given below.
- Click on ‘Problem receiving the code?’ when it comes to the screen.
- Then choose the option ‘Call me with the code’ and this way you will get a phone call with the verification code.
Fix 4: Troubleshoot The Phone
If the error still persists then try troubleshooting your phone, to do so you can try the below-given workarounds.
- Quit the Lyft app, then tap and hold on the Lyft app icon, then tap storage, then clear cache and data. Now try login into your account.
- Quit the app and restart the phone. Once the device is restarted check if the error still persists.
Fix 5: Change Phone Number
If you have a dual sim card phone then you can try signing up or login in with your other phone number. Sometimes for some unknown reason, you may continue to not receive the verification code on Lyft, and in that situation, the best workaround you have is to use a different number.
