Fix 2: Check If You Need To Update Your Apple TV

If restarting the Apple TV does not help with the issue then we suggest you check if there are any pending updates for your Apple TV Firmware if so, then consider installing the pending update and then check for the error.

  • Go to the Settings.
  • Choose General.
  • Choose Reset.
  • Now you can choose between two options “Reset All Settings” or “Restore”.
    • If you choose “Reset All Settings” then it will reset the settings, including your accounts and configurations.
    • If you choose “Restore ” then your Apple TV will revert to factory settings and install software updates. Also if you choose this option Apple TV needs working internet.
