Recently many users started to report the error code 2003329396 with Netflix on their Apple TV, so we decided to cover this error and here in this article, you can find all the details for this error.
First of all, there is no official information from Netflix on this error, we went to the Netflix website but this error was not mentioned there.
Based on the users’ complaints, Netflix is showing different issues along with this error, such as if they pause the video and then try to play it again this error comes. Along with that sometimes they also have different audio issues.
We have done our research, and as per our research, this does not look like due to a Netflix issue instead the error looks like it is coming from Apple TV’s end.
We are telling you this because, in users’ complaints, we have found that they are not just getting issues with Netflix, but some other apps on their devices such as Hulu, Peacock, Plex, etc, are also showing problems.
But as there is no official information from Netflix or Apple TV we can’t say anything with certainty whether the error is coming from Netflix or Apple TV.
Fixes For Netflix Error Code 2003329396 On Apple TV
Fix 1: Give A Proper Restart To Your Apple TV
Before trying a serious workaround, we will advise you to restart your Apple TV. You need to simply shut down your Apple TV and wait for around ten minutes. While Apple TV is shut down make sure to disconnect them from the power source. Then after ten minutes, reconnect your Apple TV to the power source and restart it. At last, check if the error still comes or not.
Fix 2: Check If You Need To Update Your Apple TV
If restarting the Apple TV does not help with the issue then we suggest you check if there are any pending updates for your Apple TV Firmware if so, then consider installing the pending update and then check for the error.
Here is how to update your Apple TV
- Go to Settings.
- Then choose System.
- Then choose Software Updates.
- Then choose Update Software.
- If you find a pending update then consider downloading it
- Once the update is done. Check If the error still comes or not.
Fix 3: Reset Your Apple TV
During our research, we found a Reddit thread where two users were required to reset their Apple TV to resolve this issue.
So, if you tried restarting your Apple TV and your Apple TV is up to date with its latest version but the error is still coming then you may need to reset your Apple TV.
Steps to Reset Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD
- Go to the Settings.
- Choose System.
- Choose Reset.
- Now you can choose between “Reset” and “Reset And Update”.
- If you choose “Reset” it’s a normal option where your TV will just reset back to the Factory Setting and this step doesn’t require Internet.
- If you choose “Reset and Update” then your Apple TV will revert to factory settings and install software updates. Also if you choose this option Apple TV needs working internet.
Steps To Reset Your Apple TV (3rd Generation) Or Earlier
- Go to the Settings.
- Choose General.
- Choose Reset.
- Now you can choose between two options “Reset All Settings” or “Restore”.
- If you choose “Reset All Settings” then it will reset the settings, including your accounts and configurations.
- If you choose “Restore ” then your Apple TV will revert to factory settings and install software updates. Also if you choose this option Apple TV needs working internet.
Fix 4: Contact Support
If the error persists after resetting your Apple TV, then we advise you to reach out to Netflix support as well as Apple TV support.
As we do not know whether the issue is coming from Apple TV or Netflix, it will be best to contact both of them and report the problem.
