How To Listen To Audible Audiobook In Car?


Method 1: Listen By Car Mode

Car mode is an in-app feature in Audible, which is available for both Android and IOS which lets you pay Audible in your car.

  • Connect your phone to your car with an auxiliary cable or Bluetooth
  • Open Audible App
  • Play the Audiobook
  • Tap on the Car icon from the Audiobook page

Note: From your phone screen, you can play/pause, rewind, or bookmark audiobook.


Method 2: Listen by Apple CarPlay On iPhone

CarPlay is a feature available for iPhone devices to enjoy smartphone features on your car’s built-in display and stereo system.

Note: You should have at least iPhone 5 or later to enjoy CarPlay. Also, not all cars support the CarPlay feature. Nowadays, all of the new generation cars come with a Car Play option, so please make sure your car has this feature. Simply check for the ​CarPlay or smartphone icon nearby the USB port in your car. Also, some cars support CarPlay via Bluetooth. To get all of these informations, you can refer to your owner’s manual. 

  • Connect your phone to your car with a USB port
  • Visit the CarPlay from the home screen
  • Choose Audible app
  • Tap “My Library
  • Tap on the Audiobook you want to play
  • You are done

Method 3: Listen By Android Auto

Note: You should have at least Android 5.1 Lollipop or a later version to enjoy Android Auto. Also, not all cars support Android Auto features. Nowadays, all of the new generation cars come with the Android Auto option, so please make sure your car has this feature. To get all of these informations, you can refer to your car owner’s manual. 

  • Open the Audible app on your phone
  • Connect your phone to your car via USB
  • Audible will automatically start playing your Audiobook if Audible is already playing. If not, then select the Audible app from your car display, and tap on your desired Audiobook to play.

Method 4: Listen By Connecting Your Phone To Your Car With Auxiliary Cable

As I said above not all the car support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, but most of the car supports Auxiliary Cable.
