How To Factory Reset Sonos Play 3?


  • Disconnect the Sonos Play 3 unit from the power source by unplugging its power cord from the electric source.
  • Now press and hold the Mute button located on your Play 3.
  • While pressing the Mute button, plug the Sonos unit back into the power source.
  • Now, wait till you see the white and orange light flashing on the Led Indicator. And as you see the white and orange light flashing release the buttons which you are holding.
  • Now wait, once you see the Green light flashing on the unit it means you have successfully restored your device to factory settings.

How To Factory Reset Sonos Play 5?


The steps to reset the Sonos play 5 are the same as Sonos Play 3.

  • Disconnect the Sonos Play 5 unit from the power source by unplugging its power cord from the electric source.
  • Now press and hold the Mute button located on your Play 5.
  • Then while pressing the mute button you need to plug the Sonos unit back into the power source.
  • Now wait till you see the white and orange light flashing on the Led Indicator. And as you see the white and orange light flashing release the buttons.
  • Now wait till you see the Green light flashing on the Play 5. Green light means you have successfully restored your device to factory settings.

What If You Are Unable To Factory Reset Sonos Play 3 Or Sonos Play 5?


If in case you are unable to reset your Sonos Play using the steps mentioned above, there are some things you can try:
