In our research, we have found that this error is mainly reported by the Fire TV users, so we can consider that this error mainly comes on the Fire TV devices.
In our research, we also have found a few responses from the Prime Video team where they have acknowledged that they know about this error and are working to fix this error ASAP. So it looks like that the error mainly comes because of some issues with the Freevee app itself. But there are a few things that you can check, if all the things are okay on your end but the error continues then this error is clearly coming from the app itself.
Fixes For Freevee Error Code plr-5027
Note: Before trying any workaround given below we will advise you to shut down your device along with your internet for around 2 to 3 minutes, then restart your device and internet. Then check if the error still comes or not, if the error persists then try the below given workarounds.
Fix 1: Check Update For The Freevee App
The first thing you need to do is check if you are using the latest version of the Freevee app or not, if not then you should consider updating the app. So check if there is a pending update for the Freevee app, if so simply update the app and then check if the error still comes.
Fix 2: Sign out And Re-Sign In
If the Freevee app is up to date with the latest version then simply sign out of your Freevee account and then re-sign in after 20- to 30 seconds.

- Then Quit the Freevee app.
- Then Wait for around 20 to 30 seconds.
- Then Relaunch the Freevee app.
- Then Re-sign into your account.

Fix 3: Check If Fire TV Has The Latest Updates
If the error still doesn’t get resolved then the next thing you need to check is if your Fire TV has the latest updates.
- Go to the Settings.
- Then choose My Fire TV.
- Then choose About.
- Then choose Check for Updates.
- If there is an update you will see the Install Update option.
Fix 4: Clear the cache For Freevee
- Go to your Fire TV Settings.
- Then go to Applications.
- Then choose Manage Installed Application.
- Then choose Freevee.
- Then choose Clear Cache.
- Then choose Force Stop.
Fix 5: Power Cycle Your Device
If the error still continues then next you need to power cycle your device, and below are the steps to do so.
- Power off your Fire TV device.
- Then Power off your router.
- Make sure to disconnect your Fire TV device and router from the power source.
- Then Wait for around 5 minutes.
- Then Restart your internet.
- Then Restart your Fire TV.
- Then make sure your Fire TV device is properly connected to the internet.
- Then check if the error still comes with the Freevee app.
Fix 6: Reinstall The Freevee App
- Uninstall the Freevee app.
- Then Restart your device.
- Then Reinstall the Freevee app, and Relaunch the app.
- Then log in to your account and check for the error.
