If you are getting the error code n8202 while using Netflix on your Windows device then this error is coming because of the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Actually, your browser requires Microsoft Silverlight plug-in to play Netflix but Microsoft no longer supports Microsoft Silverlight plug-in.

In simple words, Netflix Error Code n8202 is a browser issue and to resolve it you need to use an updated browser that supports HTML5, such as Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc.

In case you are already using a browser that supports HTML5 but still having the error then you can try the below shared workarounds to resolve this error.

Fixes For Netflix Error Code n8202

Fix 1: Check For Network

In case you are using a public network such as Wifi of a cafe, hotel, or school then chances are Netflix is blocked on that network by the administrator and that’s why you are having this error. To confirm that you can try counting over a mobile hotspot connection.

In case you are using a private home network then perform an internet speed test for your internet. To use Netflix without any issues your internet should have at least 2 to 3 MBPS of speed. In case your internet is much slower then contact your ISP to report the issue.

Fix 2: Try Other Network Level Troubleshoots

  • In case you are using a VPN or proxy on your device or network then this can also lead to such issues, so we will suggest you to disable such services and then check for the error.
  • Next, you can try giving your system a fresh start by simply powering off your device and router and restarting them after 5 to 6 minutes. Then check if the error still occurs or not.
  • If you still receive the error then try connecting over a mobile hotspot connection. This way you can confirm if the issue is coming from your default network, or if it’s coming from Netflix’s side. If connecting over the mobile hotspot connection fixes the issue then this is your default network which is causing the error and you should contact your ISP. But if you still get the error even after connecting over a mobile hotspot then you need to contact Netflix.
