What Is Smite “Requires Multiplayer” Issues?
As per most of the users’ complaints, Smite “Requires Multiplayer” issues occur whenever users try to invite others to play together. For some users, the error was more bizarre because they receive this with every mode of the game.
Many users have maintained in their complaints that they receive this error after the recent update. So it might be possible that the recent update has some bug with it which causes this error.
During our research, we were unable to find any official information regarding the error but in different communities, users have shared some workarounds which have worked for them.
Fixes For Smite “Requires Multiplayer” Issue
Fix 1: Try Multiples Times
Some users have mentioned on Reddit that they were able to bypass the error by just retrying multiple times. So before trying any troubleshooting, we will suggest you to retry 3 to 4 times to check if you are able to bypass the error. If not then you can move to the other workaround.
Fix 2: Logout From Smite And Restart It
The next thing you need to do is to log out from your account and then quit Smite. Then restart the Smite and re-login to your account.
- Log out from your account.
- Then quit the Smite.
- Then wait for around 10 to 20 seconds.
- Then restart the Smite and re-login to your account.
- Now check if the error still appears.
Fix 3: Hard Reset Your Device
If you continue to receive the error then we will suggest you hard reset your device. This workaround was shared by a user on Reddit where he was able to fix the issue after 3 hard resets.
For Xbox
- Press and hold the power button of your console for around 10 seconds until it powers off.
- Then unplug your console from the power source.
- Then wait for around 50 to 60 seconds.
- Then plug in your console to the power source, and press the power button to power on your console.
For Playstation
- Turn off your console.
- Then disconnect your console from the power source.
- Then wait for around 60 seconds.
- Then connect your console to the power source, and turn on the console.
- Then check if the error still appears.
Fix 4: Check If There Is A New Update
If you started to have this error after the recent update then check if there is a new update for the game. It’s possible that the old update has some bug with it, so it might be possible that the developers have released a new update with the patch.
Fix 5: Check Smite Server Status
Visit Smite server status page, and check Smite server status for your device. If the servers are up then you will see Operational next to the Smite.
