How To Resolve Wyze Error “Failed to connect” Code -20?


Note: As of now there are no official troubleshoots to fix this error, all the troubleshoots that we are going to suggest are just general workarounds. In case these workarounds don’t help then you should consider contacting the Wyze support team for further assistance.

  • Our first recommendation for you will be to power off your Wyze cams and then restart them. We will advise you to give your Wyze cams rest for around five minutes before restarting them.
  • Next, you can try shutting down and restarting your Wifi connection. Like your Wyze cam, we will advise you to give your Wifi also a proper rest of 5 to 7 minutes before restarting it.
  • Next, try logging out and re-logging into the Wyze app.
    • Logout of your Wyze app;
    • Then disconnect your device from the internet;
    • Then restart your device;
    • Then reconnect your device to the internet;
    • Then relaunch the Wyze app, and re-login to your account;
    • Then check if the error still comes or not.
  • If the error continues to come then try clearing your app cache and storage data.
    • For Android.
      • Tap and hold on to the Wyze app icon;
      • Tap App info;
      • Then tap storage;
      • Then choose to clear the cache and storage data.
    • For iPhone
      • If you are using an iPhone then simply offload and reinstall the Wyze app.
  • If the error still persists then check and make sure to have the latest firmware version for your Wyze cams. In case your cams are not updated with the latest firmware version then consider updating them and then check for the error again.
